MetaTrader 4 (MT4) is Alpari's flagship platform for forex and CFD trading. The Alpari build gives you real-time quotes, nine timeframes, 30+ built-in technical indicators, one-click trading, and full support for Expert Advisors (automated trading robots). It connects straight to your Alpari account, so you fund, trade, and withdraw from the same terminal.
System requirements
- Windows: Windows 7 or later, 1 GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM, ~50 MB free disk space.
- macOS: macOS 10.13+ via the official MT4 installer (or run it in the browser).
- Mobile: iOS 11+ or Android 5.0+.
- Any device: the MT4 WebTerminal runs in a browser — nothing to install.
How to download Alpari MT4
- Open your Alpari account. You need an Alpari profile to get the platform and a trading login. Create or sign in to your Alpari account.
- Go to the platforms section and pick MetaTrader 4 for your device — Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, or WebTerminal.
- Run the installer. On Windows, open the downloaded
.exeand follow the setup wizard; the default options suit most traders. - Log in. Launch MT4, then enter the server plus the login and password from your Alpari account to connect to live or demo trading.
Demo vs. live
New to MT4? Start with a free Alpari demo account — the same platform with virtual funds — then switch the login to live when you're ready. The download is identical; only the account credentials change.
Troubleshooting
- "No connection" on login: confirm you picked the correct Alpari server and that your login/password match the account type (demo vs. live).
- Charts not updating: the market may be closed (forex trades Mon–Fri); check your connection and re-select the symbol.
- No Mac installer: use the MT4 WebTerminal or the official Mac build from your Alpari platforms page.
